

Tom was always the first to take care of others - no questions asked. His attention to detail, industry knowledge and customer care turned clients into friends while developing an admired reputation. He took pride in his work and valued relationships. Tom built a successful business over the last 30 years that will continue under the care and direction of his wife and family. He enjoyed his evening walks around the neighborhood, stopping to greet each neighbor along the way.

He could make conversation with anyone willing and loved hearing “Hi Tom!” from a friendly passerby - often several times a day. Tom had a generous, outgoing personality with a handsome smile to match. Tracking the weather, remote control boats in the pool, tinkering in the garage and reading the Sunday paper gave him simple joys. He could fix just about anything and had a special skill for finding lost items. Tom was an avid fisherman with tall tales to tell. He enjoyed camping, was quick with the birdie on the badminton court and bodysurfed with the greatest ease. They went on to have two children whom Tom could always be heard bragging about.įrom the canyons of North Park and coastal waters of Southern California to the desert of Anza Borrego, Tom made San Diego his playground. He and wife Conchita met as teenagers, then married as each other’s first loves. Born in Carmel, California February,1953 as the youngest of four children, Thomas moved south to San Diego at the age of two with his parents Captain Gordon and Louise Fiss, sister Dede, and brothers William and Steven.
